Diamonds aren't always a girl's best friend.

Ask me how I feel about jewelry ... go on... ask me.

Okay, I'll tell you.

I am absolutely, positively, 100% addicted to bling.

I'm not talking platinum gold and diamonds (although, the scattered 2 carat bauble wouldn't go astray), I'm talking costume jewelry. Fake stuff. Pretty stuff.

There's just something so magical about putting on an outfit and then finding a necklace and earrings with just the right shade of blue to match your shirt. I can almost hear angel's sighing as that final piece is placed upon my neck and my outfit is complete. Okay, maybe it's not angels... maybe it's just me... maybe because I'M TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH JEWELLERY.

This post has been brought to you by my lunchtime shopping excursion. A friend of mine from work had an absolutely beautiful necklace on today so, naturally I asked her where she got it. She told me she purchased it from this really cute company called 'Spicy Cat Designs'. Clearly I had to take a dart over to her facebook page to have a look... then, obviously I had to buy something (or many things).

I purchased a pink necklace, a turquoise necklace, a silver necklace, pink treble clef earrings, turquoise treble clef earrings, multi-colored dangly earrings, silver earrings AND a ring to match (you know, like ya would). As I was flipping through all of the beautiful items in her albums I just couldn't help myself.

I wanted it all!

THEN, after I contacted her and made my purchases, I saw a piece that I absolutely fell in love with.

Dragonflies are my thing.

They have a significance which is very personal to me and means a lot. It was a beautiful, sparkly, PINK pendant made from glass, wrapped in silver, in the shape of a dragonfly.

Of course I had to contact this woman again to advise her of my desired acquisition. Unfortunately she didn't have any in stock but, she did let me know that she would contact her partner to see if she had some. Yay!

Stop on over to Spicy Cat Designs and see for yourself..

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must go re-mortgage the house and look for a local shopaholics anonymous group...

Happy shopping!
