Humans and cookies. Same.

Humans are totally like a batch of chocolate chip cookies. 🍪

This is the result of our Saturday morning family baking session.

Are these cookies perfect? Nope.

Are they all the same size and shape, with the exact same amount of chocolate chips spread evenly apart? Also no.

Would Martha be proud? Absolutely not.

However...and this is the most important question...are they all the same inside and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS? Oh yeah they are.

So, like humans, they are all different but, when I choose a chocolate chip cookie, it’s not about aesthetics because I know that every single one of them is delicious in their own way.

I don’t judge them because they are a little lopsided or misshapen or puffy. In fact; I treat them all the same and provide them with a nice, warm, relaxing spa-like bath — coffee flavoured.

As a society, we need to stop judging people because they do something in a way that you wouldn’t, or they don’t look like you or have values that differ from yours. That doesn’t mean that they’re not a good person — or even someone you’d want in your inner circle.

We don’t have to be friends with everyone or even like every single human we encounter but, we should definitely make sure that we are not basing our feelings of “not liking someone” by judging from a far.

Like the cookies (whose numbers are dwindling thanks to the teenage-boy appetite, btw), we all end up in the same place.

Be a nice human. 💕
